About FSAP

The purpose of FSAP, according to its bylaws, is to:
  • Promote the study and use of parliamentary procedure and the educational programs of the National Association of Parliamentarians at the state level;
  • Promote the growing interest in parliamentary rules;
  • Lend aid and strength to the parliamentary activities of the members;
  • Assist in the organization of units within its boundaries;
  • Assist in arranging district conferences.
Simply put, FSAP works to foster a deeper understanding of the principles of the democratic processes upon which this country was founded, and how to apply them to the everyday business of for-profit, non-profit, and governmental institutions. It accomplishes this goal by:

  • promoting continuing education and development of its members,
  • delivering educational programming to the community, and
  • helping individuals and organizations find professional parliamentarians who can help them with problems or challenges they are facing.
